About Susan

Susan Schaefer is a creative thinker and writer. At home writing columns and features for digital and print media, leading writing and presentation workshops, and performing her original work, Susan brings dynamic perspective to client work, guiding others to seek answers in unexpected places. The former university professor, newspaper editor and communications consultant is now working on her memoir, “The Girl Who Flew.”


Certified as a facilitator from the MIT-Harvard Public Disputes Program, a Presence Based coach, accredited in public relations, with a doctoral equivalent in European Public Affairs and a Masters’ Degree in English, she provides counsel to government, business, NGO and not-for-profit leaders from such fields as higher education, banking, environment, architecture, engineering,  finance, and law.
